The provision of adequate, accessible and healthy food is central to RKCAA’s wellness strategy. Special attention is being given to improving the nutrition of those receiving food through RKCAA programs, access to fresh produce. RKCAA administers four programs that support individuals who are food insecure.
RKCAA is the Emergency Food Organization (EFO) which provides state commodities in Racine and Kenosha counties through the TEFAP and CSFP programs, and the Kenosha WIC-Women Infant and Children program. These Federally funded programs help supplement the diets of low-income eligible persons, families and seniors, by providing them with emergency food and nutrition assistance.
